You treat your house as your second half. You can do nothing without a house.

You can also do nothing without a car. That and you need more than one car. 

Then money is just obvious. You need to be square with mankind. Mankind operates on money. Money is hard to earn, save, and have. 

So you stay in the house, use the car for transit to necessary assignations, and always have money when you need it. "Having" money is rare. Usually people "earn" a living.
